Yeah, you heard me. There’ll be lots of awesome stuff. Gifs (coz I love ‘em), updates on how editing is going (right now I feel like I’ll edit volume one until the day I die. Breathe in, breathe out, it’ll be ok…), publishing info (coz that’s where we’re going with this, you know) and all things Japanese (in November 2025 I’ll travel to Japan again and will share lots of food, culture and trip related things).

Working with my incredible artist is a dream come true! Bruna Belfort isn’t only a talented individual but also so much fun to work with. She’s professional and always manages to bring the characters that live rent free in my mind onto paper. There is so much that I don’t share on Intagram though! For instance, every time I commission a new character (which is once a month), I send a detailed character presentation to her. In the newsletter I’ll share fun facts about the new characters, sneak peeks of the sketches and lighting scenarios and real life images of how I imagine my babies to look like!

Did you know that I like drawing as well? I used to draw manga. It’s been a long time since I sketched a comic but I am trying to get into it again. In the newsletter I wish to share updates on my drawing progress and once editing the novel doesn’t take up all my life’s energy anymore I’m planning to draw scenes from the book - manga style - and share them with my newsletter subscribers.

The Japanese language is a vital part of my novel. I have included a huge amount of Japanese words and phrases within the manuscript. In each newsletter I will add a new word or one of my favourite sentences. Learn a bit of Japanese with me and dive into the world of Hinomoto - the land of the rising sun.
